Repertoire
All participants should bring a range of repertoire. If possible this
should include one or more of the set works listed in the right-hand
column. Although the set works are not compulsory, past experience
has shown there is considerable benefit in working together on a
common theme. Each tutor will offer a specialism.
Advanced Class
- Participants should bring at least three substantial works of recital standard, one of which may be the set work
- Those most prepared will be offered a short evening recital
- Advanced players can also bring work in progress
- French Class and Liszt's Années de pèlerinage with Paul Roberts
- Brahms with Charles Owen
- Chopin, Rachmaninov and Stenhammar with Martin Sturfält
- Beethoven and Schumann with Alon Goldstein
Intermediate Class
Participants should bring whatever they feel they can comfortably play in front of others. If you choose one or more of the set works – see Intermediate Set Works, right-hand column – you may bring these for the whole session, or a set work plus additional pieces of your own choice.
Set works are not compulsory, but participants will find added benefit in the workshops if the work is centred around shared pieces.
The specified set works for the Intermediate Class will be taught on all courses.
