At Ambialet 2011 a limited number of scholarships of up to £400 each will be offered to advanced students who can prove financial need.

On the Scholarship Application Form, applicants will be required to give:

• A self-assessment, explaining financial circumstances, current course of  music studies, concert experience, prizes, and repertoire over the past year
• Details of other funding organisations to which the applicant has applied, or intends to apply

  
  In addition the form must be accompanied by:

• The general Ambialet 2011 Application Form
  

  and

• A reference letter, from a current teacher or head of department, sent under separate cover to the address on the form, or by email, which confirms the applicant’s financial need and standard of performance

No deposit is required at this stage.

If the applicant is successful, a deposit of £200 will be required to secure the place. The balance can be paid upon arrival in France.

Visas

Students requiring visas to travel to France are reminded to apply to the appropriate authority in good time. Deposits cannot be returned because of last-minute hitches in visa applications.
